The international scientific and practical school in English “Environmental Issues of Architecture and Civil Engineering Spheres” was held at NSUACE (Sibstrin) with the participation of the University of Stuttgart (Germany).

In the period from November 23 to December 5, 2020, Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin) organized and held the international scientific and practical school “Environmental Issues in Architecture and Civil Engineering Spheres” in English. The school was held in a remote format under the UNESCO Chair with the participation of the University of Stuttgart (Germany).

The event was attended by students of Kazakhstan (master’s students from Pavlodar State University named after S. Toraigyrov), students from Russia (master’s students from Vladivostok of the Far Eastern Federal University), from Novosibirsk (master’s students of the UNESCO department, teachers and young scientists of NSUACE (Sibstrin)).

Teachers of the School taught in six modules: “Environmentally friendly technologies for sustainable development” (Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the department of Hydrolic Construction, Safety and Ecology, N.V. Sineeva), “Foundation deformations. Modern calculation methods of foundation deformations” (Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the department of Engineering Geology, Bases and foundations, O.A. Korobova), “Engineering and computer graphics in the field of architecture and civil engineering” (Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the department of Civil Engineering Technology and Construction, L.A. Maksimenko), “Modern technologies in the production of building materials” (Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the department of Building materials, Standardization and Certification, E.V. Lytkina), “Ecologization of the public and communication space” (Candidate of Architecture, Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, A.V. Navolotskaya), “Modern software complexes and computer technologies to solve ecological problems of urban territories” (Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the University of Stuttgart, Uwe Gaisbauer, Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor, member of Scientific and Educational Center of Computer Modeling “CADFEM-Sibstrin”, S.A. Valger).

After graduation , each participant passed the certification by writing an essay in English on the topic of his/her scientific work with a possible solution to environmental problems.

Upon completion of the International Scientific and Practical School “Environmental Issues of Architecture and Civil Engineering Spheres”, the participants will receive certificates of advanced training from the Institute of Futher Education and certificates in English from the Institute of International Affairs.

In 2021, it is planned to issue a textbook in English on the subject of the School.
